Choose Our Adventure: Smithsonian Edition Winner Announcement
The votes have been tallied and we have a winner for Choose Our Adventure: Smithsonian Edition! First of all, we want to say thank you to everyone who voted! We also want to thank the Smithsonian Institute, and especially our four worthy nominees: National Portrait Gallery, National Museum of Natural History, National Air and Space Museum and National Museum of American History! It was great fun learning more about each of the museums and thanks for helping our readers decide on where to send us!
The winner is the National Air and Space Museum! Congratulations! We are looking forward to spending a day visiting the museum: especially for the moon rocks and astronaut ice cream! It would have been a treat to visit any museum and we can’t recommend highly enough that if you are in the D.C. area- check out a Smithsonian museum! We definitely plan on visiting other Smithsonian museums, but our immediate plans are for the National Air and Space Museum- hopefully, we’ll be blasting off (get it) for our spring museum day soon!

Now that we’ve spent time so much time thinking about museums that are close to us, I (Kari) now have a very long list of Smithsonian museums to visit. It has also made me wonder what other museums are out there- both in the D.C. area and beyond. Dear readers, what museums do you love? Won’t you tell us about them? We have dreams of traveling and we want to know what museums are worth the trip? Tell us you recommendations and we’ll add them to our travel wish list.
